Glory wins penalty shootout to book finals berth

| Latest Football News | Saturday April 14 2012 21:53

Perth Glory have upset the Central Coast Mariners to earn a place in the A-League final against the Brisbane Roar.

Locked at 1-1 after 120 minutes, the Glory have beaten the minor premiers 5-3 in a penalty shoot-out.

All White Michael McGlinchey's missed penalty for the Mariners proved the decisive blow, with all other nominated players successful in finding the back of the net.

It caps of a disastrous finals series for the Mariners, who've slumped to three straight losses after dominating the top of the ladder throughout the season.
