New Phoenix recruit hoping to help goal-flow

By: Brenton Vannisselroy | Latest Football News | Thursday January 31 2013 5:36

The Wellington Phoenix's newest recruit is hoping to increase the flow of goals at the struggling A-League club.

The Phoenix have scored just three goals in their last five games as they've plunged to the foot of the ladder.

Isaka Cernak says he's an attacking player and wants to make an impact.

Cernak says he's looking to assist as many goals as possible and score a couple himself, but the main thing he wants to help with is more wins.

Isaka Cernak only arrived in the capital on Saturday and came off the bench in the one-all draw against the Newcastle Jets.

He's with the squad in Auckland preparing for this Saturday's match against the Perth Glory at Eden Park.
