Oly-Whites fueled by double motivation

By: Nick Walker | Latest Football News | Sunday March 25 2012 14:11

Double motivation for the Oly-Whites in the final of the Olympic qualifying tournament against Fiji today.

With a place in London awaiting the victor, it's also the last chance for the Kiwis to push their case for Olympic selection.

Midfielder Alex Feneridis says this is a big chance to secure a spot on the team.

Feneridis says playing in the Olympics is a very rare opportunity, so they're desperate to make the most of this game.

Meanwhile Phoenix coach Ricki Herbert is expecting big things from his side in their final game of the A-League regular season against the Central Coast Mariners in Wellington today.

Herbert says they usually bounce back well from a poor game.

Both games kickoff at 4 o'clock.
