Wigan upsets Arsenal in London

| Latest Football News | Tuesday April 17 2012 11:08

Another big result for Wigan in English football's Premier League.

Less than a week after upsetting Manchester United 1-0 the Latics have stunned Arsenal 2-1 in London to move five points clear of the relegation zone.

Wigan scored both of their goals inside the opening 10 minutes before Thomas Vermaelen pulled a goal back for Arsenal midway through the first-half.

Despite creating a number of opportunities, the Gunners were unable to find an equaliser.

Arsenal remain third, five points clear of Tottenham and Newcastle, who both have a game in hand.
