Gear turns down Japanese offer to stay in NZ

By: Guy Heveldt | Latest Rugby News | Wednesday May 23 2012 14:08

Highlanders wing Hosea Gear has turned down a lucrative Japanese offer to stay with the Highlanders.

It had been reported Gear had already signed with Toshiba and would head offshore at the end of the Super Rugby season.

But Gear says he's committed to New Zealand rugby and wants his All Blacks jersey back.
