The Queensland Reds have been dealt a blow in their hopes of defending the Super Rugby title. First-five Quade Cooper's been suspended for one-week for a high tackle on Waratahs opposite Berrick Barnes, meaning he'll miss this weekend's elimination final against the Sharks. Cooper's hoping it's not the end of his season. "I've a lot of faith in my teammates and the team to get the job done this weekend and then hopefully I'll rejoin the team in our quest to go back-to-back." There's no indication on whether the Reds will appeal. Photo: Photosport |
