Injured Wallabies captain James Horwill will undergo surgery on his hamstring.
Horwill met with specialists today who have decided the right hamstring that he ruptured in Super Rugby last month needs to be operated on.
It means he won't be available for the Rugby Championship and could also miss Australia's end of year tour to the Northern Hemisphere.
David Pocock will continue as captain in Horwill's absence.
