Lam receives support from kiwis

By: Nick Walker | Latest Rugby News | Saturday April 14 2012 7:19

Blues coach Pat Lam is philosophical about his side's sixth loss in seven matches in the 2012 Super Rugby competition.

The build up to last night's 29-23 loss to the Sharks at Eden Park was overshadowed by Lam's emotional breakdown in the wake of racially-charged abuse on social media.

He says while another loss is disappointing, the support he's received has been phenomenal.

Lam says he has received "hundreds and hundreds of emails and text messages from people all around New Zealand that aren't Blues supporters, that have offered encouragement to myself, and to the team."
