Crusaders back on form

By: Nick Walker | Latest Rugby News | Sunday April 15 2012 9:06

Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder believes his side's rediscovered its best form after a 31-24 victory over the previously unbeaten Stormers in Christchurch.

"Really satisfying to see a good performance on the track, really good to be at home with a great crowd I mean i really feel that we're back, and why I say that is we had to work hard for it against a really good side."

The Crusaders remain fourth in the New Zealand conference, but are just three points behind the second-placed Highlanders.

Tom Taylor led the Crusaders to the victory.

The rookie first five scored all of the Crusaders points, with a try, a conversion and eight penalties.

Coach Todd Blackadder's leading the praise for his young pivot.

"Didn't he have a sublime game, he played so well - I'm really proud of him. He stepped up and showed what class he's got, he played with a level of maturity that was just fantastic."

In Canberra, the Brumbies have moved back to the top of the Australian conference with a commanding 37-6 win over the Melbourne Rebels.
