Nonu looking for perfection in tonight's match

By: Nick Walker | Latest Rugby News | Saturday August 18 2012 9:26

Nothing less than perfect will do for Ma'a Nonu in tonight's Bledisloe test in Sydney.

Nonu inherits the number 13 jumper from long time midfield partner Conrad Smith against Australia.

He says knowing what Smith's defence is like, he can't afford to miss any tackles.

"Conrad never misses a tackle and you know you pretty much get caught out if you do."

He says he's been talking to Smith nearly as much as they do when they're playing together.

"Yeah he's been helping a lot the last few days and the last week. He text me this morning about a few stuff, about defence - that he had to remind me and I said nah thanks buddy."

Nonu and Sonny Bill Williams boast a daunting 39 kilogram advantage over Wallaby centres Rob Horne and Anthony Faingaa collectively.

The forecast in Sydney is expected to be mainly fine today and will get down to around seven degrees for kickoff tonight.
