Around 18,000 tickets sold for Blues v Sharks

By: Nigel Yalden | Latest Rugby News | Friday April 13 2012 14:49

Just less than 18,000 tickets have been sold for tonight's Super Rugby match between the Blues and Sharks at Eden Park.

The Blues players themselves have admitted they wouldn't be surprised if not many people turned up, but it looks like half of the ground will be full.

Sharks first-five Patrick Lambie says they can't afford to take the Blues lightly.

"Full of gamebreakers, guys with good feet, lots of pace, some strong ball carriers so we're certainly not going in with a light approach."

19-year-old Gareth Anscombe nailed 29 points against the Bulls in Pretoria in round three.

His Sharks opposite, 21-year-old Patrick Lambie, says Anscombe's a class act.

"That says enough for us, he can be a match winner. He's been quite accurate with his keeping, we're aware of him and looking forward to the challenge."

The rain has largely stayed away from Auckland this morning although some showers are forecast this evening with kickoff at 7:35pm.
