Victory parade for Chiefs

By: Sophia Duckor-Jones | Latest Rugby News | Sunday August 5 2012 17:50

Hamilton city will host a victory parade for Super Rugby champions the Chiefs through the central city tomorrow afternoon.

The Chiefs defeated the South African based Sharks team at last night's final 37-6.

Hamilton city mayor Julie Hardaker says the parade is the city's way of saying thanks to the team, and a chance for Chiefs supporters to celebrate with the team.

The parade will kick off at 12.30 from Knox Street, move along Victoria Street, and end in Garden Place with an official congratulations to the team.
