Pat Lam wants to continue as Blues coach

By: Guy Heveldt | Latest Rugby News | Monday April 16 2012 15:40

Pat Lam wants to remain at the Blues.

Lam's season has gone from bad to worse with the Blues currently languishing second to last on the Super Rugby ladder after only one win this season.

Some fans and rugby followers are calling for his resignation but Lam wants to stay on at the end of the year.

"Of course I do. I'll keep fighting and I'll keep trying to do my best and this is my town but at the end of the day I can only focus on the fact that I'm in the job now and I've got to keep going."

Lam says he has no desire to go overseas.

"No and there never has been. At the moment it's all about doing the job and I've always been like that so a lot of the things that came out, people call you and so forth and people talk which is not always necessarily the truth."

Lam says he knows there will be a thorough review at the end of the season but right now his mind is on the current season.
