Junior All Blacks go down in close final

By: Guy Heveldt | Latest Rugby News | Saturday June 23 2012 7:03

The Junior All Blacks have been beaten in the final of the Under-20 Rugby World Cup.

They've fallen to South Africa 22-16 in Cape Town after leading 10-9 at halftime.

New Zealand captain Bryn Hall says they were dominated up front.

"Our forwards tried their best, they gave it 100 percent. It's not like they stopped and let them go forward, so I'm very proud of my forwards. It was a tough day at the office, a few calls didn't go our way but that's rugby."

Wing Milford Keresoma scored New Zealand's only try in the first half.

Both sides had a player sent off after a fight in the second half.
