Burger strains calf, will miss 3 weeks of Super Rugby

By: Elliott Smith | Latest Rugby News | Tuesday February 19 2013 6:55

Stormers and Springboks flanker Schalk Burger will miss at least the first three weeks of the Super Rugby season with a calf strain.

He picked up the injury during pre-season preparations and coach Allister Coetzee says he won't be considered until after the side hosts the Chiefs on March 10.

Burger sustained a knee injury in the opening round of the 2012 championship, and missed the entire season.
