Warning for Chiefs fans buying tickets online

By: Sophia Duckor-Jones | Latest Rugby News | Friday August 3 2012 12:33

Chiefs officials are warning people about the dangers of buying tickets online.

A large number of fans missed out on buying tickets on Wednesday, so have taken to Trade Me.

Chiefs Commercial Manager Sean Austin says anyone who buys scalped tickets is likely to be turned away tomorrow night.

"The people that purchase them unfortunately, regardless of the price, run a significant risk that when they get to the game the barcode that's on the ticket will be rejected by our scanners and they'll have to go home and all they'll have is a $1000 piece of ticket."
