Knee surgery rules out Bismarck du Plessis

The Springboks will be without hooker Bismarck du Plessis for the remainder of The Rugby Championship.

du Plessis requires surgery on a knee injury picked up in their victory over Argentina and will miss the rest of the season.

Australia could also be without captain David Pocock for next weekend's Bledisloe Cup rematch in Auckland, with a knee injury placing the openside in doubt.
