Both teams are targeting the breakdown area as the crucial part of tonight's second test between the All Blacks and Ireland in Christchurch.
Hooker Andrew Hore says if they can improve on that area the backs will have a good night.
"We want to get to the breakdown as early as possible as that was the key thing that let us down last week."
The miserable weather has continued from earlier in the week, with icy southerlies and a low of zero degrees forecast for tonight.
Kick off's at 7:35, followed by Australia and Wales meeting in Melbourne and South Africa taking on England overnight.
