Robbie Deans appears likely to stay in Australia, but not with the Wallabies. Sources say he will finish as coach of the national side after the Rugby Championship, ending a disappointing period in charge and take over at the Waratahs for next year's Super Rugby competition. Former Wallabies hooker Jeremy Paul believes the plans have merit. "I think that the opportunity for Robbie Deans to go into New South Wales, I think it's a magnificent idea. We are struggling for coaches in Australia. We have Richard Graham who's now the new coach of Queensland, who I think lost seven out of his last nine matches." The Waratahs have yet to appoint a new coach following Michael Foley's defection to the Force. Photo: Photosport |
