The Northern Mystics have taken the lead of the ANZ Championship with a 64-55 victory over the Canterbury Tactix in Christchurch.

The Mystics led for the duration of the match, up 37-24 at halftime, and have secured a place in the finals with one round to play.

They've moved to 18 competition points, two ahead of three other teams.
