Two stages for World Rally in Auckland

Rally New Zealand has confirmed there will be two stages in Auckland city for next month's round of the 2012 World Rally Championship.

But there'll be no spectacular super special around the viaduct as had been mooted as a possibility.

Chairman PJ Johnson says having a stage around the viaduct would have been too hard logistically.

"No, we've decided to put it all in the domain. The road closures and bits and pieces and the entry for the public is a lot easier having it up in the domain," he says.

Both the domain stages will be held on the morning of Sunday June 24.
