Stoner shuts down rumours of return to V8 next year

MotoGP world champion Casey Stoner has flatly rejected speculation he will race in the V8 Supercars next year.

Stoner will retire from the sport at the end of the season at just 27 and had been linked to a switch to the Australian competition.

However, he says he is definitely not going to be involved in the V8s and will instead stay home and watch his daughter grow up.
