Buderus ruled out of Origin opener

New South Wales coach Ricky Stuart's worst fears have been confirmed with Newcastle hooker Danny Buderus ruled out of the State of Origin opener with Achilles tendinitis.

Buderus was a certainty to return to the side for the first time since 2008, after rejoining the Knights following a three year stint with Leeds.
