Gallen likely to play this weekend

It appears like it's all turned out okay for Cronulla Sharks captain Paul Gallen.

Gallen will be free to play this weekend if he enters an early guilty plea after he kneed Rabbitohs forward David Taylor in the head during last night's match.

He's still awaiting scan results on his knee, although it's not expected to be too serious.
