Warriors promise a new approach

By: Nick Walker | Latest Rugby League News | Sunday April 15 2012 12:58

The Warriors are promising a revamped approach in this afternoon's NRL match against South Sydney at Mount Smart Stadium.

Last year's grand finalists are under intense public scrutiny after disappointing back-to-back road losses.

The Warriors have won just two of their opening six matches and face the NRL's top two side's in the next in the next two rounds.

Coach Brian McClennan says they've had a mental overhaul during the week.

"We've spoken a lot about having a really tough attitude because the last couple of weeks our mental toughness and attitude in the game hasn't been up to the mark."

Coach Brian McClennan says they need points from this game.

"This game's very important. The two tops teams at the moment are Melbourne by some way and the second team is Brisbane who are playing good footy too, so on the horizon it's tough coming."

Kickoff's at two o'clock.
