Warriors expecting record crowd

By: Brenton Vannisselroy | Latest Rugby League News | Friday May 4 2012 16:13

While support's growing for more daytime rugby, it appears league fans prefer to watch the Warriors under lights.

The Warriors are on track for their biggest Mt Smart Stadium crowd of the season tomorrow night when they host the high-flying Brisbane Broncos.

Chief executive Wayne Scurrah says they've already pre-sold around 17,500 tickets.

"There's a grass embankment there, there's about a couple of thousand seats left, but you know it's going to be pretty chocka by the way it's going."
