Lewis Brown could fill void left by Friend injury

By: Guy Heveldt | Latest Rugby League News | Monday May 7 2012 13:02

Another shift for Warriors utility Lewis Brown.

The Warriors are pondering who could fill the void at hooker left by Nathan Friend after he broke his jaw in the NRL win over the Broncos.

Coach Brian McClennan says Brown started his career as a hooker and could return there.

"He's been training throughout the season in a number of roles. He's been training as a back rower, as a lock, done a bit of centre and he's done hooker, so he's been playing out dummy half in some of our sessions."

Meanwhile the Warriors have announced the signing of Storm centre Dane Nielsen who will join up with the franchise for three years at the end of the current season.
