Ropati relieved to get through a game

By: Nick Walker | Latest Rugby League News | Monday February 20 2012 13:46

Jerome Ropati's breathing a big sigh of relief after coming through his first game in 11 months unscathed.

The Warriors centre played 70 minutes in the club's final pre-season match in Whangarei, his first appearance since sustaining a serious knee injury in round three of the NRL last year.

He says he's rid himself of any reservations he was carrying about how he would go.

He says the biggest thing was he didn't even think about the knee once he got going.

Ropati says he's able to bring more confidence and enthusiasm to training now he's had a game.
