The highlight of Michael Hendry's golf career has been smudged by a disappointing closing stretch.
The Kiwi golfer has dropped three shots in the last two holes of his opening round at the World Golf Championship event in Florida, to finish even par for the day.
It's come after a promising front nine that included three-straight birdies.
Hendry says it's eye opening to see where he is.
He says it's fun to see the people he's playing against and despite the finish it wasn't a bad round.
Michael Hendry is in a tie for 39th, six shots off the five-way share of the lead at six-under, which includes Tiger Woods and Graeme McDowell.
