Nethula makes Blackcaps debut

By: Brenton Vannisselroy | Latest Cricket News | Sunday February 5 2012 15:34

Central Districts leg-spinner Tarun Nethula will make his Blackcaps' debut in tomorrow's Waitangi Day one-dayer against Zimbabwe.

Nethula has been included in the 12 for the second match of the series in Whangarei.

Blackcaps coach John Wright says Nethula will play, but another uncapped player will have to wait for his chance.

Wright says Michael Bates misses out again and Nathan McCullum is the other player to be left out of the 12.

John Wright says Canterbury all-rounder Andrew Ellis will bat at seven in Nathan McCullum's absence.
