Wagner cleared to play for Black Caps

By: Rikki Swannell | Latest Cricket News | Thursday April 19 2012 17:58

Neil Wagner has been cleared to play for the Black Caps.

The Otago paceman was having to fight his case at the ICC to change his allegiance from South Africa.

His eligibility was going to be delayed because Wagner had returned twice to South Africa, meaning he'd missed living in New Zealand for the required number of days.

New Zealand Cricket made applications to the ICC's Exceptional Circumstances Committee.

It means Wagner will be available for the tour to the West Indies, starting in June.
