Yuvraj Singh has lung cancer treatment in US

By: Elliott Smith | Latest Cricket News | Monday February 6 2012 7:24

Indian allrounder Yuvraj Singh has undergone treatment for lung cancer in the United States.

His physiotherapist Jatin Choudhary says the 30-year-old was diagnosed in October.

He's expected to be fit to play in May after undergoing treatment in Boston.

Yuvraj was named player of last year's World Cup after scoring 362 runs and grabbing 15 wickets in nine matches to help his side to the title.

He made himself unavailable for the one-day tri series in Australia and has also opted out of the Twenty20 Indian Premier League which starts in April.
