McCullum to be restored as NZ Test opener

| Latest Cricket News | Monday August 20 2012 12:46

Brendon McCullum will be restored as an opening batsman for New Zealand's two-Test series against India starting on Thursday in Hyderabad.

The experienced McCullum, who batted at number three during the recent 2-0 series loss to the West Indies, scored a match-saving 225 two years ago at the same venue - his highest Test score.

Batsman S Badrinath has been called into the Indian team to replace long-serving VVS Laxman after his international retirement.
