The second placed side secured a 10 wicket victory over Auckland at University Oval, dismissing Auckland for 351 in their second innings and hitting the four runs required for victory off the first ball. Earlier, competition leaders Central Districts downed Canterbury by four wickets, reaching the 259 run target with relative ease to stay in control of their own destiny.
