By: Nick Walker | Latest Cricket News | Friday February 8 2013 19:51

Northern Districts have victory in their sights after just two days of their Plunket Shield encounter against Canterbury at Hagley Oval.

The Knights are 167/4 at stumps in their second innings, needing another 47 runs for victory.

Earlier, the Wizards were rolled for just 149 in their second innings, with only three players cracking double figures.

Meanwhile a hundred to Luke Ronchi has seen Wellington take first innings points against Auckland after two days at the Basin Reserve

The hosts lead by 22 runs on 368/6.

Colin de Grandhomme's come agonisingly close to a century in the Aces first innings, left not out for 99 in their 346.
