Jesse Ryder has been sold to the Delhi Daredevils for $260,000 American dollars (NZ$308,000) at cricket's Indian Premier League player auction.
It comes after his decision to stay out of the New Zealand team for the home England series.
He joins Ross Taylor at the franchise.
Nathan McCullum was sold for his base price of US$100,000 to the new franchise, the Hyderabad Sunrisers.
The Mumbai Indians picked up Jacob Oram for US$50,000.
Fellow New Zealanders Martin Guptill and Scott Styris missed selection.
Australian allrounder Glenn Maxwell has topped the bidding.
He was bought by Mumbai for US$1 million.
