Significant restructuring for NZ Cricket

By: Andy Rowe | Latest Cricket News | Friday May 11 2012 16:26

New Zealand Cricket is about to embark on some significant restructuring.

NZC is currently going through consultation to move its commercial sector north from Lincoln to Auckland.

CEO David White says there will be new jobs and new roles.

"In terms of the proposal, yes there is some creation of some new roles, some exciting opportunities. I think some people wanting to get into the commercial side of sport would be very interested."

White says they hope to have everything sorted out in around a month's time.

He's currently in consultation with employees to shift the commercial sector north.

White says with the 2015 World Cup just around the corner, it's important they are in position to capitalise.

"We want to have clearer lines of responsibility, better accountability, increased leadership capability and we want to maximise commercial opportunity so that's why we're proposing a move to Auckland for the commercial department."

White says Lincoln will remain the high performance hub for New Zealand Cricket.
