Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Asif says there had been no evidence for his conviction in Britain for corruption and spot-fixing Asif has been released from prison after serving half of his 12-month sentence. The 29-year-old was jailed by a London court in November after being found guilty of conspiring to cheat and conspiring to accept corrupt payments over deliberate no-balls during the Lord's Test against England in August 2010. He says he was shocked when he was handed the jail term as there was no evidence against him. |
