McCullum to return to the Kolkata Knight Riders

By: Nick Walker | Latest Cricket News | Sunday February 5 2012 6:39

Brendon McCullum will return to the Kolkata Knight Riders after being purchased for $900,000 in the IPL auction.

The Black Caps wicketkeeper played the first three seasons of the competition for Kolkata before switching to Kochi for last year's tournament.

Doug Bracewell's the only other New Zealanders to be bought, with bowler Tim Southee and allrounder Jacob Oram unwanted.

Other Kiwis with deals in the IPL are Dan Vettori, Ross Taylor, Nathan McCullum, Jesse Ryder and James Franklin.

Indian all rounder Ravindra Jadeja's been the biggest money fetcher, with the Chennai Super Kings stumping up $2 million.
