WOW will continue to wow Wellington

By: Newstalk ZB staff | Latest Wellington News | Monday October 15 2012 13:28

The World of Wearable Arts will continue to wow the capital for another nine years.

WOW awards founder Dame Suzie Moncrieff has this morning renewed its contract to host the show in Wellington.

It's estimated the awards bring in over $15 million to the city's economy, as well as creating over 400 jobs.

Dame Suzie Moncrieff says she's thrilled with the partnership.

"There's definitely no other place that could put WOW on as well as Wellington does, we're surrounded in creative institutions like New Zealand School of Dance and a lot of creative stage people."

Dame Suzie says it's important the show has access to such creative talents to ensure the show is world class.
