| Latest Wellington News | Monday September 17 2012 8:20

Police are warning of flooding on some streets around Wellington after heavy rain this morning.

The lower North Island has been deluged.

Police asking motorists to slow down and drive with their headlights on.

It's a crawl on some Wellington roads this morning as the city copes with flooding.

There are reports of flooding in the CBD, as well as Kilbirnie, Karori, Haitaitai and Miramar, particularly on Cobham Drive and on Curtis Street in Karori.

Cobham Drive has been down to one-lane citybound this morning.
