Wellington Zoo embracing Halloween

By: Newstalk ZB staff | Latest Wellington News | Monday October 29 2012 7:30

Wellington Zoo's embracing Halloween this year with a rather creepy Trade Me auction.

The Zoo's auctioning off a close encounter with one of its residents, but monkey or lion lovers need not apply.

A winning bidder will get the chance to hold one of the zoo's resident tarantulas, in order to raise money for its wildlife fund.

The lucky bidder will be tasked with giving the spider a name, though Wellington Zoo's reserving the right to approve any suggestions.

The tarantula auction closes at 1pm this afternoon.
