Prospect of Avatar filming delights employers

By: Newstalk ZB staff | Latest Wellington News | Friday July 27 2012 9:59

Wellington employers will be delighted if further Avatar films are made in the capital.

Hollywood director James Cameron has indicated the film's sequels will almost certainly be shot at Sir Peter Jackson's Miramar Studios.

Wellington employers chambers of commerce president Richard Stone says it would be an enormously positive decision for the city.

"The vote of confidence for the region and the positive spin-offs from that increased exposure I think would be very significant."
