Steps are being taken over concerns that the Toast Martinborough festival is turning feral. A number of people turned up very drunk to last year's event. Festival manager Rachael Fletcher says this year, organisers will be targeting anyone who may be 'pre-loading' on alcohol before they arrive. "And before they exchange their ticket for a glass and wristband, we'll just have some security, as we always do, at the entrances but there'll be a closer eye on people who might have pre-loaded and obviously if anyone has arrived intoxicated they won't receive entry." Ms Fletcher says there'll also be increased numbers of police at the festival next month, to ensure the event goes as smoothly as possible. Photo: Getty Images |
