A 31-year-old Motueka man has been arrested and charged with shooting two steers with a crossbow last month. A local farmer discovered the grisly deaths on his father's neighbouring property where the two steers had been shot in the head and one had also been shot through the chest. The man faces charges of theft and ill treatment of animals and will appear in Nelson District Court on the 3rd of July. Motueka Police say they would like to thank the public for their assistance in finding the man. Photo: NZ Herald |
