Woman was drunk when she fell from bike - Coroner - Upper South Island News

A coroner's report into the death of a Westport woman who fell off her bicycle has found that she was drunk and wasn't wearing a secure helmet.

Diana Perriton sustained severe head and spinal injuries when she fell in September last year.

Her partner, William Barnsdale, admitted the pair had shared a bottle of wine before they began their bike ride.
