36-year-old tramper remains missing

By: Annabel Reid | Upper North Island News | Sunday June 17 2012 20:22

A tramper remains missing in the Hunua Ranges tonight, and is in for a cold night.

The 36-year-old man hasn't been heard from since texting friends on Saturday afternoon saying he'd been delayed.

Two search teams are spending the night in the bush, where temperatures are expected to drop to minus three degrees.

Iroquois helicopters will also be searching with night-vision equipment.
