By: Newstalk ZB Staff | Upper North Island News | Thursday July 19 2012 14:45

Rotorua company A-Z Rigging and Scaffolding has been fined $30,000 after a worker fell from a scaffolding plank that snapped.

The Rotorua District Court heard the plank was riddled with soft rot fungi and was also not fully secured to the scaffolding.

The worker received head injuries when he fell 3.5m.

The company has also been ordered to pay $15,500 in reparations.
