Two men have been treated in in Hawke's Bay after serious falls. A 26-year-old was flown there by rescue helicopter just after 9am after falling from a tractor in the suburb of Elsthorpe. He has serious head injuries. St John Ambulance team manager Chris Matthews says he sent the helicopter crew straight out again to pick up a 45-year-old man who'd fallen from some steps in Omakere. He is in a moderate condition and is thought to have spinal injuries. Photo: NZ Herald |
