Elderly woman hit and killed by car in Tauranga

An elderly woman has died after being struck by a car in Tauranga.

The car was reversing out of a drive on Windsor Road, in the suburb of Bellevue around 11am.

Emergency services have closed a small section of the road, its expected to remain closed until 2pm.

The woman has yet to be identified.
